We are starting a Kindness Chain at our Library this summer. We have a beautiful community full of kind people. Come into the Leeds Jane Culbreth Library and write a few words of encouragement onto a piece of paper to be added to our Kindness Chain!
This is an activity for all people to participate in all summer. Stop in to see how far it has grown throughout the summer.
We enjoyed Mr. Larry’s Magic Show so much last year that we had to invite him back! He is funny and full of surprises! This year he is working his magic around friendship and literacy tie-ins. We can’t wait for the balloon animals again! Come see the crowd
favorite, Mr. Larry at one of two shows he will be doing at the library!
She is Back!! We look forward to seeing the Science Lady each time! On Thursday, July 27th @1pm she will be coming to work with the older kids and teens. Come see what she brings and get ready to laugh, listen, and learn!

having fun!
Join the Sit & Knit Monday Drop-in Group at 4:30pm-6:00pm at the Leeds Jane Culbreth Library. The leader, Candace can teach knitting and crocheting to people who favor their left or right hand. She brings different pattern books to look through and
lots of yarn to create your next project. Come take a minute for yourself and meet this new local group who likes to Crochet and Knit.

Here are just six of the many things we have planned for you and your family to do at the Leeds Jane Culbreth Library this summer! There are SO MANY things planned such as:Reading Challenge, All-ages Art Projects, Summer Travel Packs, Movie days, and
crafts. (Taking a deep breath…) All-ages are invited to participate in decorating a square for the Leeds Tribute Quilt with Karen Carroll, visits from McWane Science Center, 4-H visits, several funny Magic shows, Puppets and puppet making, visits from Alabama
Wildlife, a bee-keeper expert, experiments by the Science Lady, Theater group visits, Legos, Slime time, games and yes, you guessed it…there is still even more to do! A GREAT WAY to Be in the Know of all that is happening at the Leeds Library this summer
is by picking up a copy of the Summer Reading Program and Events Calendar at the End-of-School Celebration Saturday, May 13th from 11am-1pm.

Commerce’s Creek Bank Festival on May 20th from 10am – 4pm at Leeds Memorial Park off Hwy 119.
Are y’all ready for this? The surprise exhibit has arrived! We asked the Principal of Leeds Elementary School, Rachael Haley, to share her LEGO builds with the Leeds Jane Culbreth Library for the summer. She built different places in Leeds.
