Something interesting happened today. This little girl, Lucy Bolcar, her two brothers and mom, Lindsey, cam in to ask if Lucy could add her grandmother’s pins to the pin collection at the Leeds Jane Culbreth Library. I told her that the collection actually belonged to Jane Culbreth and it was on display. Ms. Amy said, “why not”! So…I took pictures as Lucy placed the pins on the display. Her mother and I talked as Lucy was pinning. A lady at Lucy’s gymnastics gym in Mountain Brook mentioned that she tended to Ms. Culbreth when she was in the nursing home and that she used to tell her about the Leeds Library which encouraged within Lucy a connection with Jane. ~Annette
